I just love this set! When I first started I was a little clueless as to where I wanted to go with it,but I just love the end product!

Up for your kind consideration is absolutely yummy 2 piece sample set,ready to ship in a size 4T-5T, possibly a 6 (please refer to mesurements provided for a better idea of fitting)
My model is a solid 5T for better reference
Includes:
*Peasant style top with ruffle trim.
Upper chest area and sleeves have been made using the sweet cherry print on a pink background and the lower portion & ruffle, I have used a white on white floral print.
Neckline has a rolled hem and has a few rows of shirring as well as the sleeves to add to the daintiness of the overall look.
3 rows of shirring around upper chest area where the cherry print meets the white.
*Double layer,full patchwork twirl.
I've handcut several,5 X 5 inch squares from 4 different coordinating prints to provide fullness of this skirt, a simple twirl will certainly bring this skirt to life.
The top layer has been trimmed with all 4 prints and the underskirting has been created using an light weight,white fabric and trimmed with an eyelet ruffle.
To add to the playfulness, I've sewn a white ruffle rac trim to the red and white gingham squares.

Eeek! Mornin' Already?!

So I got no sleep last night.Up until about 4 am this morning,unable for the life of me to fall asleep.....not so great for the designing aspect of my life, nor the domestic goddess in me, or any other part of my busy,every day life of being a Stay at Home/Work at Home Mom.

I sooooo just want to lie back down and have a little more shut eye BUT,as all of us mom's know...NOT GONNA HAPPEN! LOL! My daughter is terrorizing the blinds 2 feet away from me, as I type, thinking of what we'll have for lunch,and play a game of "I Looove my Maadiii, I Looove my Mooommyy" with my 3 year old going on 15....no time for rest in this house! HA!

Anyway, being as I've accomplished pretty much nothing today thus far today, I did want to share with you a few things while my sleep deprived mind allows me....

What's In-store for 2009....

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Ok, so I guess I'm a little late with the New Year but, better late than never...I guess. ;)

I can't believe the holidays have come and gone so quickly and we're already into 2009! Seems like time is flying by.

I'm taking my Spring designs in a whole new direction.As you can see from the pic below of my "Bohemian Dream" dress, I'm leaving behind a bit of the whimsy and going for a more Boho/ Flea Market Chic style & lots of color for the season....of course minus the tights and fur lined boots, though this is just a sneek peek.

Also, I'm proud to announce the 3rd launch in progress for Peppermint Lane....

Due to launch in February, so be sure and check back for the actual launch date.

What's been going on at Posh Piggy???

I haven't been posting much because we've been so busy with home life and I've of course opened Peppermint Lane and the Model Mom Lounge.We're creeping up on the date of our very first group launch:

Please tell us a little about yourself....
Hello~ My name is Gillian- Let me start by saying I am honored to have been chosen for the designer interview this week! YEAH!

OK-- A little about me~ I am a mother of 3 beautiful children-- My oldest son is 15. I have another son who is 10 and my daughter Laycee is 7. I married my high school sweetheart. I went directly into nursing school from high school and have been a Registered Nurse since the age of 19-- SCARY~ I can't imagine how I handled a job like that at 19-- But here I am-- still at it! I work full time as a nurse but my true passion is fashion design and sewing! I just LOVE IT!

How long have you been designing?
I have been playing with sewing and design off and on since high school-- Never took it really serious until my daughter was born. I didn't sell my first design until about 2 1/2 years ago-- And well now.... lets just say i am addicted!

What inspires you as a designer?
I think my biggest inspiration as a designer is my daughter-- I just love shopping with her and looking at fashion online and thinking-- "wow! I can make that!"

What is your favorite item to create? Why?
HMMMMMMM........ My favorite?? I am going to have to say deco jeans~ Patchwork style with all of the frayed edges. I just love to use up all of those fabric scraps and see what i can come up with! Almost anything goes with deco-- its so fun!

What are your favorite materials/fabrics to work with?
I am going to have to say plaids-- I just love plaid~ And well there are so many fabric lines that I just adore I could never name them all!

What is your favorite thing to do when not sewing/designing?
Outside of designing-- I would have to say i enjoy most of all my family-- I LOVE to travel~ even if its just a short road trip for the day.

Please tell us a little about yourself....
First and foremost, I am a SAHM to my 2 beautiful children, Hope and Dominick and a wife to my husband of 8 years, Pete. I discovered the world of custom boutique clothing and accessories when Hope was 2 years old and have been addicted ever since. Hope and I started doing some modeling for the wonderful designers on Ebay last year and we have had a lot of fun with it!

How long have you been into photography?
I became interested in photography at the moment my children were born. I suddenly realized that I wanted to keep a running record of every little look and smile. In fact, my husband and I didn't even own a camera until the day we brought Hope home from the hospital. The moment she fell asleep my husband rushed to the store to buy one so we could start taking pictures!

What inspires you as a photographer?
Although my children are my original inspiration, for me the process of learning how to take great pictures and of constantly improving is very personally satisfying. I really appreciate all of the tips and advice that are offerred by the other Ladies in the Group.

Where is your favorite place to take pictures?Why?
I definitely prefer to take pictures outdoors and probably my favorite place is a local nursery and garden center. The center is open every year from spring until Christmas. The owners take care to decorate lavishly and appropriately for each season and best of all they are flattered that I sometimes choose to take pictures there.

What is your favorite thing to do when not shooting pictures?
I love playing with my children and spending time with my family. I also enjoy cooking and of course... scrapbooking all of those pictures!
